The Arab Jewish Community Center (AJCC) was established in 1993 with the goal of bringing Jews and Arabs in Israel together and educating them towards greater understanding and tolerance.

The AJCC operates in four main areas:

Intercultural Cooperation and Democracy: Working to help create an authentic dialogue between Jews and Arabs in Israel, the AJCC conducts ongoing interfaith activities and special events for adults as well as children. Examples of these activities include the Class Exchange and Youth Parliament programs, as well as choirs "Shirana," "Voices of Peace," and "Nitzanim."

Social Welfare: The Center sponsors programs to support disadvantaged families, such as programs for underprivileged families, or special-needs children in neighborhood schools. Moreover, the Center conducts community events and partnerships with social and philanthropic bodies working in and outside Jaffa.

Enrichment and Educational Activities for Children: The Center conducts morning programs to meet and supplement school curricula and offers after-school and evening programs for older children and youth, including courses aimed at helping students prepare for matriculation and university entrance exams.

Workshops and Enrichment: During the afternoon and evening hours the Center offers a wide variety of social and cultural classes and activities for all age groups, including art, dance, Eastern and Western music, sports, adult education, languages, etc.

The Center operates as an affiliate of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality and honors the values of humanism and equality, promoting new models advancing educational and social goals. Its location in the heart of a mixed city allows it to serve as a unique meeting ground for its 3,000 adherents and members of three religions: Islam, Christianity and Judaism.

The AJCC is open every day from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M., serving as a meeting place its 3,000 members. Participants in AJCC programming include residents of the city and the region. Participants engage in social and enrichment activities, exposing them to the traditions and cultures of the different religions.

The center conducts various ties with countries across the globe, including the United States, France, Germany, England, Ireland, etc. Within the framework of these ties, the Center hosts various groups that visit Israel from abroad. The AJCC also initiates collaborative projects in the fields of education and culture.
